I visited my parents this weekend and had a great time. My dad made yummy egg rolls and a delicious dessert he used to prepare when I was younger. It was blast from the past, and my brother was there, too, to share some of our memories from growing up.
My dad said he found a portfolio of my drawings from college and brought them out. It was fun to look through them. Inside the portfolio was a book, which I hadn’t seen since the 1980s. It was called More Sniglets. Have you heard of these? If you’re a product of the 80s, then you know what I’m talking about. My nine-year-old had fun reading through the book even though a number of the words are a bit antiquates (i.e., references to pay phones and Polaroid cameras).
So I went to my handy-dandy friend, YouTube, to look them up. And what do you know?
Enjoy!

I remember Sniglets.
ReplyDeleteRaid with the Reddi Wip - that's terrible.
Haven't come across this book, but it sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember Sniglets, but I do remember Rich Hall!
ReplyDeleteI think I just time traveled! Fun :)
ReplyDeleteHad never heard of these. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for purpatation by sneaky peeps. Have I told you how much I LOVE toying with the English language? My hubby and I make up new words all the time, but I had never heard of sniglets.
ReplyDeleteWell well - Rich Hall is regularly on comedy and panel shows in the UK, had no idea about his previous career! Maybe he is more known here than in the US these days? Well, it was a fun video, and I enjoyed learning about Sniglets. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally remember Sniglets! :)
ReplyDeleteLol, there's a name for everything.
ReplyDeleteYou made my morning sing or should I say snig?
ReplyDeleteHahahaha they're awesome! :-D
ReplyDeleteI remember them! Too fun! I have a box of letters and things from when my daughter was born that one day I will share with her...
