Mosaic Releases August 30, 2016: Get Your ARC Copy

One woman. A car crash. Two lives entwine.

Driving on a deserted stretch of highway in the middle of the night, 19-year-old Natalie Kirkland is involved in a hit-and-run accident with her boyfriend’s car. When she exits the vehicle, she sees a lifeless man bleeding in a cornfield. With no cell phone to call 911 and no one to turn to, Natalie flees the scene.

Faced with controlling parents and the challenges of cerebral palsy, Natalie decides to keep the accident a secret from everyone except Andrew, her boyfriend. The two attempt to pretend it never happened. And as time passes, Natalie finds it harder to turn herself in.

But when Natalie learns she killed the man, everything she has worked hard for fractures. Soon, the pieces of Natalie’s life fuse with the dead man’s. And Natalie needs to decide whether she should save herself or save the man’s family.

Haunted Releases on December 17th

Despite participating in NaNo this month, working a new job outside the home, and juggling oh-so-many things, I’ve decided to push ahead with the release of HAUNTED.

That said, I'm sliding the curtains back for the big reveal…

The cover!

Seventeen-year-old Hailey Steele killed her boyfriend in a car wreck, which fills her with guilt and self-loathing. So when Eli Carter enters her life, Hailey persistently denies her attraction and developing feelings for him. It’s wrong to like someone else when your boyfriend is dead. It’s easier to cope in other ways, like changing schools and using alcohol.

Meanwhile, Jeremy McClure—not realizing he’s dead—waits in the cemetery for his girlfriend to arrive. He’s certain they agreed to meet. Why else would he be here? The last time Jeremy saw Hailey, they were cruising home on a dark and rain-slicked road after an underage party.  What he doesn’t expect is an encounter with someone else.

Eli Carter has a jaded past. His junior year was full of skeletons, and his closet thrown wide open for the entire high school to see. But he manned up, and still got burned. With new girl Hailey, Eli has the chance for a fresh start, someone who knows nothing about his past. That is, if she’ll ever give him the time of day.

Told in alternating points of view, Haunted is the story of three teens whose lives cross after one fateful night, proving that one night changes everything.

There won’t be any big blog tours or hoopla this time around. After almost two years in the self-publishing biz, I’ve found those to be less than effective as a marketing took (at least for me and my books).

However, I am looking for readers who are willing to post an honest review between December 17th and January 17th on Amazon (and any other site you deem appropriate) in exchange for a free ARC.

Simply fill out the form below, and I will send a copy your way. I have ARCs available in PDF, MOBI, and ePUB.

I’m really proud of this book, and I hope you enjoy it, too!

Black Hellebore

I am so excited to be a part of Nicole Zoltack’s newest release, Black Hellebore. I had the great fortune of reading an ARC of the book and invite you to celebrate along with Nicole.

Once a year for the past decade, Nicholas Adams returns to Falledge and leaves a black hellebore on his girlfriend's grave. While departing Falledge, he chases after a man sneaking into the laboratory and dies for his trouble. A witch brings him back to life, but Nicholas soon realizes he's not the same man. Turns out, magic combined with a black hellebore in his pocket changed him into a kind of a super man.

His girlfriend's twin, Julianna Paige, is Falledge's deputy, struggling to solve several murders. Nicholas, and his alter ego the Black Hellebore, helps her, even as she helps him move on and even start to love again.

Unfortunately, Nicholas wasn't the only one changed in the laboratory explosion, and now there's a supervillain bent on destroying Falledge, and killing the Black Hellebore. But falling in love might prove more dangerous than any supervillain.

Nicholas Adams wants to put miles between himself and the town of Falledge. But on the way out, he spies suspicious activity at the local pharmaceutical plant. He investigates—a choice that forever alters his life.

In an on-the-edge-of-your-seat opening, Nicholas chases an unknown assailant through the laboratory along fracturing catwalks and spilling chemicals. His decision to be there marks the moment where he transforms into the Black Hellebore and a new super villain is created alongside him.

Nicole Zoltack’s new release is an action-packed superhero novel, pitting Nicholas (the Black Hellebore) against Lewis Lichman (aka, Skull Krusher). Zoltack creates a multi-layered story that seamlessly blends the superhero and romance genres with a touch of paranormal. Her villain, Skull Krusher, is sinister and disturbing. And this fine attention to development carries over to her other characters, as well.

If you enjoy action, heroes, diabolical plans, and romance, Black Hellebore is a must-read.

You can find Black Hellebore in these places:

And you can find Nicole here.
