One of the writing projects I’ve been working on is a follow-up to My Life as a Misfit: an autobiographical voyage into the past.
As I’ve dredged up some of those old memories, I’ve found out how fun it is to revisit some of the old TV shows I had watched. Many of them can be found on YouTube.
So welcome to…Vintage TV Tuesdays. Maybe you’ll remember some of these things, as well. And, if you’re of the young-ish variety, maybe you’ll get a laugh out of how antiquated some of these shows are. The cultural references may be as mysterious as time travel itself.
SCTV was one of my favorites. More so than SNL.

Do you recognize anyone in the sketch?
With the actual, authentic set - funny!
ReplyDeleteI confess, I'm hooked on old Match Games.
How fun! Love the vintage theme!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh this made me smile. I love watching vintage Hollywood Squares episodes. And also, the 25,000 pyramid :)
ReplyDeleteI like the vintage gameshows, too. Although, I was alive when many of them aired originally. I do find The Newlywed game a bit disturbing at times, though.
DeleteLOL!!! Oh my. It took me a second to recognize the actors, but whew! And that hair... Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I'm still laughing.
ReplyDelete'K, that was funny!!! Holy bad couch plaid!
ReplyDeleteIs that the mom from Home alone?
ReplyDeleteFun!
Yes, Kelly. Catherine O'Hara, also from the movie Best in Show.

What a great idea for a series! I used to love SCTV too. The kid's hair in this clip killed me LOL.
