Vintage TV Tuesdays

I took my older son to see The Lego Movie this past weekend. I wasn't looking forward to it, so I drummed up ideas in my head as to how I would spend the 100 minutes: plotting out my serial, shoving down handfuls of popcorn, maybe even resting my eyes. But the movie turned out to be highly entertaining! "Everything is awesome!"

Anyway, we also watched the previews. And what do you know? They're making a moving called Mr. Peabody and Sherman. I had an instant flashback to my childhood. The original Mr. Peabody and Sherman were fill-ins during the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show (so not to be mistaken for the 2000 movie with Robert DeNiro and Rene Russo).

(I realize those of you born in the 1980s will be totally lost at this point).

I told my son how I used to watch the original when I was a kid. He was intrigued. So I decided to see if YouTube had any of those segments. And guess what? They do.

  1. How funny. That's exactly what I was thinking about the Lego movie. Yet, I've heard more people say it was awesome.

  2. I can't wait to see the Lego Movie. Watching old cartoons as a grown up can be a lot of fun. It's almost like going back in time.

  5. It's a sweet cartoon, but I can't help wondering how they'll make a movie out of it. :-/
