WWW Wednesdays

Today I’m over at The Frog and A Princess (aka, Samantha Veránt’s blog) being interviewed about my writing journey. So check it out if you have time. Samantha has an incredible story of her own (with a book to come), mucho amounts of talent (I only know Spanish--no French), and is way wonderful. So I suggest you hop on over (no pun intended) anyway!
Now onto WWW Wednesdays, hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.
To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?
I haven’t gotten very far. I’ve been busy with revisions for OUTCAST, which is due out later this month.

What did you recently finish reading?
I'm sad to report that I haven't finished reading anything new since last week L
What do you think you’ll read next?

I want to read Hate List by Jennifer Brown, Ophelia by Lisa Klein (still), or The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater.

What are you reading this week?

Six Things I Did Today...

  1. Practiced bike riding. Not my own, but for my older son. He has been off the training wheels all summer and is trying to master the art of riding without assistance.
  2. Checked out the WriteOnCon website. The online conference officially starts on August 16. Hop over to the site here to register.
  3. Handled health issues with the littlest. He’s having tests run at the hospital on Wednesday for unexplained gagging and vomiting (I know, TMI). But poor kiddo. Check out his blog here if you’re interested.
  4. Read. I have a few too many books going at one time: leisure, advocacy, writing, spirituality, and a beta read of Samantha Verant’s wonderful memoir (sorry it's taking me so long). Check out her website here for more. Why do I do this to myself?
  5. Wondered how my clean house became messy in less than 24 hours. Kids, maybe?
  6. I hoped to avoid it today, but laundry.

Six Things I Did Today Instead of Writing

  1. Physical Therapy. A weekly must for the littlest in the household.
  2. Story Development for a New YA Novel. I am going to try my hand at fantasy. I have wanted to write a book for my boys, so this will be it. It is very much in its early stages.
  3. Read. Samantha Verant has allowed me the honor of reading her memoir, Seven Letters. I am captivated! It’s not yet published, but should be. If you've never been a believer in true love, you need to read this when it comes out. Visit her website here for more details.
  4. Uploaded Photos to FB. We went to Yankee Boy Basin outside of Ouray yesterday. It was a verdant scene of gorgeous mountains with green valleys and meadows teeming with wildflowers. See photo below.
  5. Created a Scavenger Hunt for the Oldest. LM Preston gave me the idea; she created one to keep her kiddos busy while she wrote.
  6. Tried to Organize the Office. Tried being the operative word here. There are notebooks, papers, Post-its, pens, books, and more littering my desk and office space. I like a tidy work space, but I need all of these things for the endless ideas I have but never seem to get around to. Where to put them? I know my husband would suggest the recycle bin :-)
Colorado Columbine, one of the many beautiful wildflowers that dazzled us this weekend.
