Six Things I Did Today Instead of Writing

  1. Physical Therapy. A weekly must for the littlest in the household.
  2. Story Development for a New YA Novel. I am going to try my hand at fantasy. I have wanted to write a book for my boys, so this will be it. It is very much in its early stages.
  3. Read. Samantha Verant has allowed me the honor of reading her memoir, Seven Letters. I am captivated! It’s not yet published, but should be. If you've never been a believer in true love, you need to read this when it comes out. Visit her website here for more details.
  4. Uploaded Photos to FB. We went to Yankee Boy Basin outside of Ouray yesterday. It was a verdant scene of gorgeous mountains with green valleys and meadows teeming with wildflowers. See photo below.
  5. Created a Scavenger Hunt for the Oldest. LM Preston gave me the idea; she created one to keep her kiddos busy while she wrote.
  6. Tried to Organize the Office. Tried being the operative word here. There are notebooks, papers, Post-its, pens, books, and more littering my desk and office space. I like a tidy work space, but I need all of these things for the endless ideas I have but never seem to get around to. Where to put them? I know my husband would suggest the recycle bin :-)
Colorado Columbine, one of the many beautiful wildflowers that dazzled us this weekend.

  1. And that's exactly why I try not to use the word try, hehe. I'm SO jealous of your mountains!

All in all I'd say you made excellent use of your non-writing time. :)

  2. ***Blushes*** Thanks! And what a great idea about the scavenger hunt. Unfortunately, because JL's kids are a teen and a tween, I'd probably have to hide money, but still...

  3. Wow! That flower is lovely! I've never seen a columbine before I guess. Good luck with your new project. To write a book for your boys is so sweet!
