Six Things I Did Today Instead of Writing

1. Nursed my back. After conducting fire mitigation duties on our property (i.e., stooping over to cut and remove oaks as we are living under a red flag warning in SW Colorado), I managed to hurt my back. I had heat on it throughout most of the day until Jeff reminded me to use ice instead. It’s been a challenge to lift the littlest kiddo today. Ouch.

2. Ordered pictures. I have decided to continue an abandoned scrapbook I started for our 2006-07 road trip; continuing it has been inspired by my sister-in-law, Sara.

3. Read. To the boys and to myself. I am currently reading The Boys Next Door by Jennifer Echols. Justin is still reading the first Percy Jackson. Zane is listening to a whole host of picture books.

4. Math. Actually, Justin did math. I was there to help if he ran into a snag. Gotta keep the academics going through the summer to prevent regression.

5. Facebook. Since my back was hurting, I whittled time away by checking the goings on with my FB friends.

6. Laundry. But only one load today. Whew!

  1. LOL, i like this idea for a blog post as I could probally fill this list every day for the last week. I have my WIP open and reduced even as I type this comment... and school is out in another day. Where does the time go? Oh, right - you made a list!

  2. Sorry you hurt your back. I only do one load of laundry at a time because I hang it out in the back. Saves dryer electricity and the clothes smell really nice.
Fortunately my daughter was good at math because it's my worst subject.
Hope you get rolling again soon.
