Six Things I Did Today Instead of Writing

1. Wheelchair Clinic. Almost six months after ordering it, I was finally able to take my youngest son into town to test out and pick up his new adaptive stroller: The Kimba Otto Bock. It is a sweet ride!

2. Worked on DI. The Southwest Colorado Destination ImagiNation regional tournament is this Saturday. As the Regional Director, I need to make sure everything is ready for the kids. They have worked hard to get to this day. So have I, I guess.

3. Mopped up Vomit. (WARNING: #3 may contain too much graphic detail for those with a weak stomach). Zane has a cold. Whenever he has too much mucus in his throat, he tends to cough up the contents of his stomach. In his case, it is Bright Beginnings Pediatric formula. We’ve gone through an abundance of burp clothes already today.

4. Laundry. Need to wash the burp clothes, after all.

5. Edited the Book Proposal for the Travel Memoir. When I say writing, I typically am not referring to necessary marketing aspects related to writing, such as the book proposal. On a happy note, it is almost ready to send to agents! Yah!

6. Calculated Hours Worked. I have been keeping track of my hours for my latest contract in order to beg a raise for the next contracted season. Come to find out, I’ve been paid a little over $4.00 an hour for March—and I’m only half way through the month. Hmmm.
