To play along, answer the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’ve been awake since 2:30 AM, so I read the sample chapters and decided to buy it based on those.
I have been reading these two for awhile as I work through some of my manuscripts.
What did you recently finish reading?
I so wanted to like this, but it just wasn’t for me. The main character was hostile almost the entire read. Plus, the leading guy—Damen—was a paper doll cutout with no flaws, no depth.
Loved this! I bought Mockingjay for my Kindle, but need some time to process this one before I finish the trilogy. I am going to be sad when it is over. Talk about incredible character development! Wow!
What do you think you’ll read next?
Not sure. I’ll be staying at the hospital with my son after his surgery. It will depend on the whole mood. In addition to adding Mockingjay to my Kindle, I also added Lola and the Boy Next Door. So I'll just wait and see.

The books on writing look really interesting :)

Oh my gosh, I SO LOVED "Lola and the Boy Next Door"! Like, I'm really sad that it's over now... How is the "Writing the Breakout Novel Workbook" working for you?
ReplyDeleteI gave you an award over at my blog. Go check it out if you want it.
ReplyDeleteWriting the Breakout Novel was invaluable to me when I was just starting to learn about craft--and it's a book I'll go back to again and again. I love the workbook too; there's not a lot of overlap, just really good exercises for ways to think about your fiction. Highly recommend.
ReplyDeleteHunger Games was a great series.
