Six Things I Did Today...

1. Wrote. All right, so I didn’t meet my personal goal of completing my YA Contemporary, Superstition Gold, on October 1st. But in my defense, we went to see the changing leaves in Silverton, so it was worth bumping the deadline. However, I have written 1,425 words so far today and plan to finish by the week’s end.

2. Prepared for Denver. Surgery for the youngest is now a week from today, so I am getting ready—physically and psychologically.

3. Revised. I am slowly combing through my other YA Contemporary, Outcast, Using Donald Maass’s Writing the Breakout Novel Workbook. It is already improving vastly!

4. Read. Catching Fire. Also read more of my fabulous critique partner’s YA novel! I love them both.

5. Cared for the Kiddos. This should be in present tense since it truly is an ongoing thing. Even though parenting often leaves me with little time to write, I love my boys!!!

6. Made dinner. Two words that make my life so much easier: crock pot!

  2. I'm a list person too and I love to make daily lists and weekly lists, just so I can cross off lots of items. I'm impressed by your organization and your enthusiasm and I hope the surgery goes well!
