Seven

I usually post about the number six, but I'm breaking the rules today. I hope that doesn't make me a betrayer. I even tried to make the seven picture a bit ugly to seem less like a traitor. You see, Linda Jackson at Writers Do Laundry, Too (I can so relate to this) tagged me for this fun meme.

Here are the deets. But most of you probably already know them:

1. Go to the 77th page of my current manuscript.
2. Go to line 7.
3. Copy the next 7 lines, sentences or paragraph, and post them as they are written.
4. Tag 7 others and let them know.

So here it goes. This comes from my first draft YA wip, HAUNTED. To keep it short and sweet, I went with the seven lines.

Hailey walks in the door, and everyone else disappears. She looks scorching in her tight-fitting jeans. She has a great body, for sure. This time her hair is pulled back in a sexy way, too. “Even if I was hot for her, which I’m not, she totally hates me.”

“Sexual tension, man. It’s all just sexual tension.”

As for the seven bloggers... Drum roll, please…(rat a tat tat)…I am actually going to leave it up to you to tag yourself if you want to participate. I think this has made quite a lot of rounds in the writing blogosphere, so….

There you go.

Was that totally cheating or what?

  4. Susan, thanks for the shoutout. And, no, you didn't cheat. The 7 Meme has been making its rounds, so it's okay not to tag.

It's interesting how 7 lines from a manuscript can be so intriguing!!!
