Please. I beg you. On hand and knees. Get rid of the word verification on your blog. I absolutely guarantee you are not getting all the blog comments you could if your word verification is turned on. And spam? I've been blogging for years and have only had one spam item.

Does mine have word verification? I don't think so, but I haven't been able to find where to change it on the new blogger dashboard. I don't like it either, but I've used it in the past. So sorry. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's gotten so much worse lately--and I hate the ones where you take the time to type in a thoughtful comment, only to discover afterwards that you have to read some funhouse-mirror text to submit it. I honestly wouldn't have bothered if I'd known I'd have that extra step! A good alternative to WV is moderation if you're really worried.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree! I get so frustrated with it sometimes that I just give up on the idea of commenting, even on excellent blog posts. It's a shame, really.
ReplyDeleteI don't know whether they changed the program they were using or what. It used to be just annoying. Now it's a serious test of my eyesight. I concur -- I wish everyone would get rid of it.
