Ten Random Facts

  1. I have been to all but one of the national parks in the lower 48 during a year-long road trip our family took. I couldn’t go to the Dry Tortugas because I was eight months pregnant, and the captain said “no”.
  2. I used to operate rides at a Six Flags park, namely The Tidal Wave and the Yankee Clipper.
  3. I was called to audition at the Ford Robert Black talent agency as an actor. I messed it up royally. I haven’t acted since.
  4. I took piano lessons for 10 years, but can’t play much of anything today.
  5. I taught as a third grade classroom teacher and a reading specialist for 3 1/2 years.
  6. I had a huge fascination with Russian history and Fyodor Dostoyevsky when I was in college.
  7. I was a total outcast in junior high and didn’t fare much better in high school.
  8. I learned to ski when I was 29.
  9. I love to rock climb.
  10. I owned the Xanadu album and would roller skate to it in my childhood basement, pretending to be Olivia Newton John.

  2. Hey, we were pretty similar on some of the answers. Like the childhood pet (just mine was a cat not a dog), and being thankful for family.

Have you been to St Petersburg? We've just been on our cruise and went past Dostoyevsky's house and college on a canal boat ride. (I think... anyway it was at least one of them!)

I was an outcast at school too. It's interesting that you went back as a teacher. Don't think I could!

  4. I love Fragile by Sting. I had it up on my "S" A to Z post.

I wear black every single day. Right now: black shirt, black leggings, black shoes, gray dress.
