Today I feel absolutely compelled to take a detour on my
blog. Despite being in the midst of the Speak Out Against…Book Tour, I think it
is critical to spread the word about something that has personally impacted me.
On November 19th, 13-year-old Dylan Redwine went missing. He
was on a court-ordered visitation with his dad who lives in Vallecito, a neighborhood
just down the road from us. He used to be a member of the community prior to moving to Colorado Springs: attending
school in Bayfield, playing baseball at the same fields as my older son did.
Please spread the word by sharing his photo and information
on Facebook, Twitter, your own blog, or by simply printing fliers and placing
them around your own community. It only takes a moment to use social media. The
more people who know, the more likely it is he will be found. He could be anywhere. So even if you live on the other side of the country, please consider spreading the word.

Gosh, Susan, this makes my stomach churn. I'll help spread the word.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sheri. There are just no clues that have been given to the public right now. I hope with all my heart that he's safe.
DeleteOh, Susan, that is awful and so scary. I pray that this boy is okay!!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you posting this on your blog. I just tweeted and shared the Missing report on my timeline.
ReplyDeleteI saw it this morning on FB. So tragic, my heart goes out to his parents. Let's hope he is found soon, and safe.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad. Will check out the Facebook page to help spread the word.
ReplyDeleteHope he is returned safely to his family. So scary and sad.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, I hope and pray for a speedy happy ending!!!
ReplyDeleteOy, these situations are becoming far too common. What a torment for the family, hope it is resolved soon.
