This book is amazing. Maybe because I’ve been to all the national parks in the lower 48. Maybe because I’ve seen first-hand the devastation that global warming has had on the parks and even in the area in which I live. Nonetheless, I think everyone should read this book! I’m not one to write book reviews, but I may wind up writing one for Before They’re Gone.

Um…I like the Alex Cross books way better. Lots of tired similes that I simply can't abide as a writer.

What do you think you’ll read next?

  1. Ooh... I'm currently reading Evertaster: The Buttersmiths' Gold. I just finished up with The Unwanteds, and I think I'll be moving onto either Dragonfly or The Last Hybrid.

  3. Hiya, I've got Patterson's The Quickie on my TBR list, but I do prefer his Alex Cross novels as well. Here's my link http://wp.me/p32hC2-fA

  6. I have loved Patterson's books in the past but not so much anymore. What's up with him having a co-author all of the time now. Is he just lending his big name to unknown authors in order to sell their books? Very disappointed in his more recent stuff.

  8. Hi, Susan,

Happy 4th weekend! I hope you and your family are enjoying yourselves!

The Lower 48 does sound amazing! I'll look forward to your review...

I know what it feels like to NOT HAVE TIME.... I wish there was 48 hours in a day. You will get to your writing when the time is there. I try to stay focused, but if other obstacles jump in my way, I just have to swerve around them. It may take me longer, but I hope to get there in the end.

I have the WILL again, but now I need the time. Still helping out others with their dreams. Mine will come IN TIME ... LOL.

Sending big hugs your way! I hope you and your family are well!

  10. I'm feeling schizophrenic these days. I'm reading an adventure novel called American Goddesses and Integral Psychology by Ken Wilber. That's really insane and my brain is having a hard time with it.
