Six Things I'm Doing Today (or Already Did)

  1. Packing. The youngest and I are heading to Denver this week for his surgery and endoscopy.
  2. Laundry. So we have enough clothes for our eight-day stay up there. We never know if we’ll get into the Ronald McDonald House or not (where they have laundry facilities).
  3. Formatting My Manuscript. I want to read it on my Kindle to check for errors again. But this time I want it in proper format.
  4. Reading. Ali Cross’s BECOME really has me hooked right now.
  5. Deciding. I have so many ‘writerly’ things going on: a YA book that needs revisions; a YA book that needs a storyline rewritten, then requires completion; two ideas that need development; a memoir that needs to be revised. What to do? I’m taking it all with me to Denver, and I’ll see what happens.
  6. Reviewing. I promised to write reviews for two writer friends. Both books were so wonderful (DISTRACTION by J.L. Campbell and STRING BRIDGE by Jessica Bell). I am simply not a good writer of reviews, and I want to do their books justice. Need to get those done.
What are you doing today? Anything fun?

WWW Wednesdays

WWW Wednesdays is a bookish meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What you are currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

The book held my attention, but (in my opinion) was not as captivating as the first.

Jodi Picoult’s characterizations are so deeply mined that the characters felt real to me. I truly enjoyed this book.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Ali is a writer friend of mine. She had some of her first lines up on her website yesterday, and they truly hooked me. Can't wait to read this, as well as the second book in the series, DESOLATE.

Ali Cross

The fAbulous Ali Cross

What can I say? Ali’s blog is one of my favorites! She has created a warm and comfortable place for writers to exercise creative talents and show support for one another. Visit her dojo for details.

Each month, Ali hosts #NinoWriMo, #NinoReMo, and #NinoQuMo to support writers in each aspect of our journey (writing, revising, and querying). She also hosts a weekly ninja chat on her blog, so we don’t feel so alone in the writing process.

Aside from offering super cool badges to show participation, she now offers belts to show where each of us ranks in our writing careers (I am an orange with two stripes).

It is an incredible and imaginative site hosted by the amazingly nice and supportive Ali. If you haven’t already, go check it out! It is a must-see.
