Six Things I'm Doing Today (or Already Did)

  1. Packing. The youngest and I are heading to Denver this week for his surgery and endoscopy.
  2. Laundry. So we have enough clothes for our eight-day stay up there. We never know if we’ll get into the Ronald McDonald House or not (where they have laundry facilities).
  3. Formatting My Manuscript. I want to read it on my Kindle to check for errors again. But this time I want it in proper format.
  4. Reading. Ali Cross’s BECOME really has me hooked right now.
  5. Deciding. I have so many ‘writerly’ things going on: a YA book that needs revisions; a YA book that needs a storyline rewritten, then requires completion; two ideas that need development; a memoir that needs to be revised. What to do? I’m taking it all with me to Denver, and I’ll see what happens.
  6. Reviewing. I promised to write reviews for two writer friends. Both books were so wonderful (DISTRACTION by J.L. Campbell and STRING BRIDGE by Jessica Bell). I am simply not a good writer of reviews, and I want to do their books justice. Need to get those done.
What are you doing today? Anything fun?

  1. I hope the surgery goes smoothly for your little guy. I will be thinking of you and hoping for the best!

I can relate to the reviews, I stink at writing them but want to start doing it. I tried one today for a friend and hope to keep up with doing them, not only to help support writers but also to improve my own skills.

Take care and all the best to you and your son!

  2. Sounds like you have to put yourself in order for your trip. I know that a lot more goes into taking a trip than just packing.

For the things that need editing, I'm kinda like you, but I made a choice over the last couple of days. I'm gonna work on the sequel a reader asked about on my Fb page. It's the most feasible at this point, but I'll have an alternate on the go for when I get bored.

I read Jessica's String Bridge and liked it very much.

  8. Hi Susan. Thanks for stopping by and signing up for my blog fest. It should be fun!

Wow, what's up with the endoscopy? My frind had one done because of a stricture and they dilated his esophagus.. He said he didn't feel squat but it did leave his throat somewhat sore. The good thing is he did munch out on some jello and ice cream! lol

I hope all goes exceedingly well for all concerned.

    Cheers!
