Ali Cross

The fAbulous Ali Cross

What can I say? Ali’s blog is one of my favorites! She has created a warm and comfortable place for writers to exercise creative talents and show support for one another. Visit her dojo for details.

Each month, Ali hosts #NinoWriMo, #NinoReMo, and #NinoQuMo to support writers in each aspect of our journey (writing, revising, and querying). She also hosts a weekly ninja chat on her blog, so we don’t feel so alone in the writing process.

Aside from offering super cool badges to show participation, she now offers belts to show where each of us ranks in our writing careers (I am an orange with two stripes).

It is an incredible and imaginative site hosted by the amazingly nice and supportive Ali. If you haven’t already, go check it out! It is a must-see.

  2. Whoa. Susan, I came here because I'm totally overdue for visiting your blog and THIS is what I find! I'm flabbergasted and oh so humbled that you would do this. I *love* the whole ninja thing. I started it purely selfishly ~ because *I* wanted the same support and community I felt during NaNo. I'm so so glad that others people, YOU, are finding that same thing in this concept.

I have so appreciated your support and enthusiasm! Thank you!

And your comments come up as noreply through blogger, but I wanted to tell you, THANK YOU for wanting to brainstorm about the beta readers thing. So far, the idea I'm thinking of is to have a bulletin of sorts where people can put up their request for readers or their willingness to read, and then just let people find each other. Not sure on the details yet. Guess we'll see how that goes. But I welcome any ideas and suggestions you might have!

Thank you again, so much, for this kind post!

  3. Ali rocks! As a fellow ninja (NiNoWriMo for me) it has been a great way to stay on task. THank you Susan for highlighting Ali and her blog. I hope she gets a lot of new Ninjas in the Dojo!!

I must go check in and get my belt (assuming I have earned one, eek!)
