Noteworthy Kindle Samples

Time is precious. We all know that. Which is why I take advantage of the Kindle sample feature on Amazon's site. I've accumulated quite a few over the past few months, but only recently read through many of them. Unfortunately, the majority went kicking and screaming into the "delete this sample" void--much like Lando Calrissian getting pulled into the Sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi, except there's no Hans Solo to save any of these samples.

Anyway, here are the noteworthy ones that didn't meet their demise at the hands of the "delete this sample" button.

Completely engaging from the start. I'm going to have to buy this one (or get it from my friendly, neighborhood library) sometime soon.

I'm certain I must be the last person in the world to hear about this book and the man behind the Twitter feed. I'm not entirely sure what I think of this in full-book form, but what I read was really funny.

The voice and characterizations drew me in while reading this sample. I want to read more.

Have you come across any noteworthy Kindle samples lately?

  1. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a very good book - I'd definitely recommend it.
