Six Things I Did (or Plan to Do) Today

  1. Cleaned. We had family in from California. They just left this morning, so I got my cleaning bug on.
  2. Mammogram. Not my favorite thing of the day, but necessary.
  3. Exercised. Because I haven’t in the past five days. I’m in dire need of some endorphins.
  4. Revise. I hope to get to a point in the near future where I can actually write some new words on a new manuscript. But revising is good.
  5. Set Up Medical Appointments. For me. For Zane. Not my favorite thing either.
  6. Read. I started a Jodi Picoult book over the weekend. That woman is an amazing writer.

  1. I did numbers 1, 3, and 6 also. I need to do number 5. And, instead of number 4, I need to, "Write something new."

  2. The mammogram thing is scary and something I haven't done yet, which I know I should do. I should try and get some revision in too.

  3. I did 1, 3 and 6. I did my mammo a couple of months ago, but my doc's office called me on Friday saying I needed a mammo and a colonoscopy. I was like, I'm too young for the second. Turns out she thought I was someone else with a similar last name. I was like, not likely.

  4. I really feel for you women as far as #2 is concerned! :(

  5. Well, at least you're doing something!

I once stood in line at a health fair. I was talking to the woman in front of me. After about 3-4 minutes I looked up and saw only women in line. (I thought I was in line to get some free promo item like in all the rest of the booths, mind you.) At any rate, I asked the lady what the line was actually for. When she replied it was for free mammograms, I slinked away and hid in embarrassment. lol

    1. Oops. While not funny at the time, it makes for a good story now.

  6. I usually get the cleaning bug before people visit, and then sit shell-shocked with a cup of tea after they've left!

  7. All the best with your 'to do' items. Sounds like you'll be glad to get some of them over and done.
I had a dental appt to have a crown fitted and have been feeling like I have a stone chip lodged in my tooth! I know it will settle eventually!
    Enjoy the Jodi novel.

  9. I try to combine 1 and 3 by doing speed dusting on the banisters. Cleaning's not my fave thing, so I always have to get it over with ASAP! Hope the revising is going well!
