Six Things I Did Today...

  1. Read. It’s nice to finally get around to my TBR list. It’s been haunting me for a long time.
  2. Revised. My revisions on my current ms are almost complete. I should be able to send it to my beta readers sometime this week. Yah!
  3. Ordered Second Proof of FRACTURED. I ran into some cover snafus with my first proof. Tech-savvy hubby helped me fix them. I should have the new proof copy by Friday.
  4. Blog Visits. I was gone for a week with very limited internet access. Now it’s time to catch up with all the blogs I love to follow.
  5. Stayed Cool. It was 86-degrees in the house yesterday without air conditioning. But we finally broke down and bought one of those suckers. We’ll see how cool it gets in here today.
  6. More Reading. The eight-year-old and I are reading HOLES together. I used to read it with my third-grade, advanced readers when I taught. My son loves it!

  2. We lost our AC this past weekend. It was an all time high of 110 degrees. We were lucky that we have a separate unit on a lower floor. The kids were disappointed when we finally found a repair guy and the camping in the basement was canceled.

  3. If my A/C went out here, well, I'd have to move. Nik is obsessed with the Darth Paper Strikes Back and Origami Yoda books. Has Justin read those?

    1. He read both of those and is looking forward to The Secret of the Fortune Wookiee, which comes out next month. Have you read them? They're really funny.

  4. Where do you live that you can get by without AC (until now)?

More reading on my list as well! :)

  5. We're in Southwestern Colorado, but live at 7400 feet. Usually our summers are tolerable (high in the mid 80s) except for a couple of weeks in July/August. This year has been quite different; much hotter and drier.
