Dog Days of Summer Blog Fest

I am so not ready for summer to end. The new school year is rapidly approaching for my boys. In order to cling to the last remnants of summer and to celebrate warm days, grilling, and my favorite season, it is time for a blog hop. This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (August 10-12), Author Jeremy Bates  is hosting the Dog Days of Summer Blog Fest.

The rules are simple. Write a brief post on one or all three topics below:

1) Describe your favorite summer activity thus far.
2) What activities do you plan before summer is over?
3) If you could have the ultimate vacation ever, where and what would it be?

Then bring the laptop to the backyard, grab a beer, put some steaks on the grill (or barbie, as Jeremy calls it. No steaks for me; maybe portabella mushrooms), and hop around to as many of the blogs signed up below, leaving comments in your trail.

You can join by adding your name and blog to the linky here.

  1. Here in the UK, I feel like we haven't even had a summer! We've had a monsoon... with fall-like temperatures, bah.

  3. It's so funny that everyone is mourning the last days of summer. I grew up in Florida, so I'm celebrating. :) Sounds like a great blog hop!

  4. I definitely felt the same way when I lived in Arizona. Now that we're in Colorado, summer is my favorite season of the year.

  5. Only a week til our kids are back at school, too. Like Talli said, we haven't had much of a summer... but at least London's been fairly lucky with the weather for the Olympics! I'm actually away for this blogfest, down to Brighton for my mum's birthday. It's gorgeous when the sun's out, so fingers crossed!
