WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at ShouldBe Reading.
To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you
currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you
currently reading?
I’m not actually
reading it, but listening to it on audio. What a richly written book! I am
extremely impressed with this one. Now that I’m home from a fourteen-hour road
trip, I doubt I’ll have the opportunity to continue listening to it. So I may
have to grab the book from somewhere to pick up where I left off.
What did you
recently finish reading?
I truly enjoyed
this book. It contained layers of detail that made me emotionally connect with
the characters.
What a fresh
idea! The main character is the daughter of Lucifer. Ali Cross weaves an
intricate story filled with both inner and outer conflict.
This is was such
a fun read that I simply could not put it down. I love the voice and humor in
this book. I am a huge fan of Contemporary YA, and this book does not
disappoint.
What do you think
you’ll read next?
Prior to July
20th, I picked up Nineteen Minutes at the library. Over the past week, I have
been in Aurora , Colorado just one exit from where the recent
theater shooting took place. It was surreal, sad, and eerie. So this will be my
next read, along with a book that was recently highlighted on a show I was watching
while in Aurora
called Columbine by Dave Cullen. Littleton is
only 17 miles from Aurora .
What are you reading right now?

I loved the Language of FLowers. It's such a beautiful book :)

I didn't know that flowers even had a language.
ReplyDeleteI read Nineteen Minutes when it first came out and I really liked it. Though I think that Jennifer Brown's Hate List did a better job with the whole school shooting aspect of it.
ReplyDeleteMy WWW Wednesday is here.
Haven't read Ali's book yet.
ReplyDeleteAs for me:
• What are you currently reading? Toby' Neal's Torch Ginger.
• What did you recently finish reading? Indian Maidens Bust Loose & A Valentine Challenge by Kiru Taye.
• What do you think you’ll read next? Relatively Honest by Molly Ringle.
Hope the little guy is doing okay.
I siply adore Jodi Picoult, I have only read "My sister's keeper" by her, but I enjoyed it so much!

I really like this WWW Meme. I will join in at some time!! Great book picks.
ReplyDeleteI just finished a fun mg "Darth Paper Strikes Back."
Next is I'm critiquing the last half of a friend's manuscript that I LOVE! Can't wait to read the rest.
Hi, Susan,
ReplyDeleteSURPRISE! I know I haven't visited in ions, but I have resurfaced and plan to visit often...
These books look great. I will be reading Ali's book next.
I was thinking about you this week because I had remembered how much you loved my fantasy writing and I am currently resurrecting the m/g fantasy novel you had liked in excerpt form so much.
I hope all is well with you and that your son is fine.
Hi Susan, nice to have you back. The premise to Ali's book sounds really intriguing, and the Best Ramadan Ever has caught my eye before - maybe it's time to add it to my tbr list.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm reading Embrace by Cheri Colyer and next up is Jellicoe Road. Two YA reads.
You've listed several books I already have on my list. Thanks for the nudge. I just have to get to these before September. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you liked my book. Thanks for featuring it again. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Patty Blount's Send and Sirenz Back in Fashion.
Just finished "Wonder." We listened to it on CD. Loved it! It's YA and has a wonderful message.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading "As I Lay Dying" by Faulkner.
Don't know what is next on my list. It's probably my own manuscript.
Hi Susan! I wanted to let you know that your ninja post went up on the dojo today! ninjaswrite.com :)
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the shoutout for my book! Yay!
I really enjoyed BRE too--I need to check with Medeia and see if she has anything else coming out soon. Her voice is fantastic.
LOVE Jodi Picoult. I think NINETEEN MINUTES is a literary feat. Just wait till you read it. Your writerly side will be reeling at what this lady can accomplish with multiple POVs. I love all her stuff. :)
I like this meme too. Maybe I should join! Except I read so slowly, my post would be exactly the same for weeks!
