Seven Random Facts:
I am really not that interesting of a person. I think I am running out of random facts to hold readers’ interests. But I’ll give it a try…
1. In 2003—in my pre-mommy days—my husband and I took a month-long road trip throughout the west to rock climb and hike. In 2006, we took our two-year-old on a year-long road trip, and our younger son was born on the road. Click here for more details.
2. My favorite vacation spot is the beach. Yet I have not been on a beach vacation in 17 years unless you count Key West, Florida at eight months pregnant a real vacation, which I don’t. (Hint, hint, hubby!)
3. I have my Reading Specialist endorsement for teaching and was a RS in a previous life (okay, it was really only five years ago).
4. I have my paralegal certificate and was a paralegal…for a week…in my twenties.
5. I used to work as a counselor at a summer camp for kids with special needs. It was one of the most rewarding jobs I’ve ever had. (Somehow these random facts seem to be turning into a piecemealed resume).
6. I love to watch Ghost Adventures. But since we do not have television reception here, I have to wait until I visit my parents in Phoenix or watch it on the itsy-bitsy laptop screen, using Netflix.
7. I know how to fold origami cranes.
And the five new-found blogging buddies are…
(Pretend to hear the drum roll)
1. Nisa Swineford
2. Wendy at The Pickles
3. Rachel Harris
4. Diana at My Life in Writing
5. Nicole at My Writing Blog

How can you take a two year old on a year long road-trip, have a kid on the road, and possibly say you are not an interesting person! That's a whole book, right there! :)
ReplyDeleteSusan, I have written that book and am trying (hear the desperation?) to find an agent to represent me/it. Thanks for the comment!
ReplyDeleteHa! There you go...best of luck with the querying (I know, it's horrific).
ReplyDelete1. You are too interesting!
ReplyDelete2. Holy road travel batman! That's something my hubby and I have always dreamed of doing. Except not the hiking and climbing part. :) We'd love to sell our house, buy a big ol' RV and just hit the road.
3. Congrats on the award!!
Susan, I think you are one of the most interesting people I have ever met. I know some interesting people, so that's saying something.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award! I have to agree with Susan Kaye... You are a VERY interesting person. You are caring and sweet.... That is by far more interesting than anything else. You are also a writer and traveled all over. Life's experience's make us interesting and who WE are. Never sell yourself short....
ReplyDeleteMichael
Congrats on the award and thank you all rolled into one hooray! You are interesting, for sure and the fact that you are so kind makes you ten times more interesting! I look forward to getting to know you better!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award! I love the beach, too. Maybe cause I'm a California native, though I haven't lived there in twenty seven years. Too bad we don't have any beaches close to Utah. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I am totally humbled by your kindness. I know such wonderful people! Thank you for making my day! You are all the best.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the awards!
