Flashback Fridays

I remember it like it was yesterday. I have it vividly pictured in my mind. It was 1982. My brother snatched the Working Class Dog album from his bedroom, took it out onto our cul de sac, and broke it on the pavement in an act of defiance. His friends had teased him about owning the record album. Instead, he should have given it to me. After that day, my brother’s musical tastes turned toward bands such as Ratt, Queen, and even The Doobie Brothers.

So in memory of that day, I’m flashing back to that day with a YouTube rendition of Jessie’s Girl. Enjoy! (Check out the fashions in the audience--not to mention Rick's choice of attire).

  5. What? He broke the record? Maybe he just hadn't grasped how much it cost. Or maybe that's the grown up me saying something the younger me wouldn't have because as kids, we didn't really have a clue what anything cost lol!!!

  7. I'm sorry you didn't get the record!

My friend had an aunt who worked for NBC. She got to meet Rick Springfield and see him perform. I was soooooooooooo jealous.

  9. I remember when Rick Springfield was a doctor on 'General Hospital.' Said that I remember it.
