The Death Writer

Yep, you read that right. My friend, Pam, is The Death Writer. It is not as morbid as it sounds. She is working on a nonfiction book about death, exploring her fear of it by interviewing people who work with death, people who have had brushes with death, and even a death row inmate.

Here’s her blog: The Death Writer. If you have the chance, wander over and tell her I said hello.

*Update* If you leave a comment on her blog, you will be eligible to win a copy of Silence Kills: Speaking Out and Saving Lives. Pam will randomly select one lucky winner at the end of the week.

  1. Death (aka The Grim Reaper) I'm not ready to meet him yet, but I'll say hello to Pam...

  2. Interesting! I've never really understood why death can be something of a taboo subject. It happens to all of us.

  3. Hi Susan,

This sounds like a very interesting project. My hunsband's dad and grandma were both on hospice, and iI was there when they died. I'll make sure to pay Pam a visit.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit and for leaving your comment.

    Have a wonderful week,

    Kathy M.

  4. I have had too much experience with death with loved ones. Yet, I was thankful for my training as a counselor to prepare me to help them and myself. You have a thought-provoking blog. Roland

  5. I had a friend in college who worked in a morgue. She LOVED it. Sounds interesting.

  6. I will have to go check out Pam's blog. I am also rather "into" death, more from the ritual side across cultures. I have a bookshelf dedicated to books on the subject. Don't think I have shared that with anyone before. Happy D-Day!

  7. What subject can be more intense than that of death? I hope your friend finds everything she's looking for by exploring the subject matter.

  8. Sweet! And what a neato (if morbid) topic. I'm headed over right now ...
