Six Things I Did Today...

After (1) feeding, dressing, and readying the kids for school, I (2) chauffeured them to their designated school buildings. When I returned home, I (3) made a cup of apple cider (which I should perhaps not be drinking after hearing an NPR news story about arsenic in apple juice—but that’s a different post altogether) and (4) wrote! After three months, I finally returned to my YA WIP, Superstition Gold. I have even set a deadline for myself to complete the first draft: October 1st. I am so close to the climax that there’s no reason I cannot complete it by then. While writing, I (5) listened to Duran Duran, Daryl Hall, and Velvet Revolver on itunes to inspire the writing. (6) is comprised of doing all the necessary things associated with a typical day: school pick-up, homework, PT and enteral feedings for the youngest, and sorting through Legos (an organizational project the oldest and I promised to do together today since the Legos are really a Cornucopia of madness right now).

So I guess that takes my list well beyond six things. I will return to regular format for next week’s edition of Six Things I Did Today. Just thought I’d mix it up a bit since I was uber excited about getting back to my writing today.

  1. Well done on getting back into your writing groove. When put down on the page like that, we start to realize how busy a single life-day can get!

  6. Yahoo! Congratulations on getting back to that writing. And anything inspired by Duran Duran and Daryl Hall has GOT to be good. :) Must check out this Velvet Revolver.

It's good to know you've got some 80s tunes handy...could come in handy while reading a certain book you just bought. I'm jumping up and down excited about that! :D
