WWW Wednesdays

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at
To play along, answer the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I finally got around to it after all these weeks of claiming it was next on my TBR list. I really like this so far. It is a book about a lasting friendship through the ups and downs of life. It makes me reflect on my own friendships and realize a greater sense of gratitude for my own friendships that have withstood the test of time.

What did you recently finish reading?

I had a hard time getting into this book at first. But I am glad I stuck with it. Very romantic YA novel with great conflict set against two contrasting backdrops.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Probably. But that is ALWAYS subject to change according to my mood.

  1. I read Abandon, having won it on Sheri's blog! If I'd known I would have sent you my copy!

  2. You're so sweet, Samantha. I think I bought it for something like $5 at Borders--so cheaper than the shipping from France :-)

  8. I read "Truth & Beauty" several years ago, on a friend's recommendation. A month or so later, I read Patchett's enchanting novel, "Bel Canto." I firmly believe that the experience of reading those two books -- fairly much back to back -- is what empowered me to move forward with my first novel. Through T&B, I got to know Patchett as an imperfect person. Through BC, I got to know her as a brilliant novelist. And so I thought... "Hey, I'm imperfect. Maybe I can write a good novel!" BTW, if Bel Canto is not on your TBR list, put it there. In fact, put it at the top!

  9. I have not read any of these books, but I do have the second two on my TBR shelf. I'll have to try out LOVE STORY, and you'll have to let us know if you liked ABANDON. I will admit I haven't read any Meg Cabot yet, but I really, really need to.

Also, I nominated you for a blog award. Find out more here: http://iwriteandread.blogspot.com/2011/09/awards.html

  10. I must admit I haven't read any of these books, but the second two are also on my TBR shelf. I'll definitely have to pick up LOVE STORY now, and you'll have to let me know if ABANDON is good. I'll admit I haven't read anything by Meg Cabot and I keep meaning to. I'll have to get to it soon, I think.
