INXS

In the mid to late 1980s, INXS was huge. And Michael Hutchence was a big reason for it. Though the band had been around since the late 1970s in its beginning stages. 1987 marked the release of Kick, which introduced the world to such songs as Devil Inside and Need You Tonight. In 1997, Hutchence committed suicide, which devastated fans, including a few of my friends. He was 38.

Other Is from the 80s:

Intellivision (a video device we happened to own)
Izod (the alligator on the shirt was a sign of popularity)
Icicle Works
Ice House

Do you remember or know of any others?

  1. I like that song "Need you tonight". Professor Green absolutely murdered it!

  7. The moment I saw INXS, "I need you tonight" started playing in my head. And I remember those Izod. Still didn't get the popularity of it.

  8. I remember when Michael committed suicide. I was stunned...confused...and scared. How could somebody who appeared to be enjoying life in the fullest...throw that away. I thought a lot about the human psyche after that!

  9. INXS was one of the sexiest bands from the 80s.

I remember hearing about Hutchence's death. It was a shocker and big loss.
