Square Pegs

I absolutely L.O.V.E.D. this show back in the 80s. It seemed to truly capture who I was: an outsider.

Other Ss from the 80s:

Shoulder pads
Sea monkeys
Sixteen Candles
SCTV
Spandau Ballet
Solid Gold

Do you remember any of these things from the 80s? Or have you seen or heard of them if you weren't a part of that fab decade?

  1. I had some blouses and dresses with shoulder pads well past the Eighties! I guess some stores and designers just kept making them long after the fad.

  2. I've never heard of Square pegs, but I did worship at the altar of Shoulder Pads. Yikes.

  4. Sixteen Candles is familiar. And those shoulder pads, LOL. I usually cut them out. Otherwise they tended to migrate and end up...oh, well. Never mind. Probably TMI, LOL.

  5. I was in my 40s, I worked hard, I bought my first house, I got married to my husband, we sailed, went to Mexico a lot, and so on. A pretty good decade for me.

  6. LOL, I was also a big fan of shoulder pads. So scary to see pictures now. I also was totally obsessed with watching Solid Gold. I thought the dancers were so glamorous LOL.

  8. I think everyone remembers Sixteen Candles. Classic 80's. I don't think I watched Square Pegs, though.

  9. I loved Square Pegs too and can still hear the theme music in my head. Never missed Solid Gold either.
